King and Queen Join Forces to Give Children a Fighting Chance

Palm Bay, FL, July 08, 2007— Today the legendary boxing promoter Don King accepted the position as the honorary chairman for the Queen of Hearts Foundation for Disabled Children, Inc. As one of the most globally recognized personalities of our time Mr. King will be instrumental in the foundations efforts to raise awareness regarding the needs of the children who suffer from hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy as well as their needs for proper equipment and intense therapy. Mr. King is most notably acknowledged for his success in orchestrating and promoting some of the most memorable title fights in the history of the sport of boxing. Additionally his work has been attributed to the successful careers of many of the most well known boxers the sport has ever known. Names such as Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Larry Holmes, Roberto Duran, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield encompass only a of the few title winning boxers that have chosen Mr. King to help them reach the pinnacle of their career. However in recent years Mr. King has become just as well known for his philanthropic efforts through the formation of his own foundation, the Don King Foundation, which has been attributed to the donation of millions of dollars in funds to worthy causes.

“Having Mr. King as a key part of the foundation could not be any more perfect for us,” exclaimed Michele Knott, Founder of the Queen of Hearts Foundation for Disabled Children. “After all, no other person that I can think of has given more people a chance to fight for the right to become the best that they can be,” continued Michele. “We hope that Mr. King can bring the needed attention to these children and our foundation to help give them the fighting chance that they deserve to lead a productive life,” added Glenn Beckett, Senior Vice President of the foundation.
