The Queen of Hearts Foundation for Disabled Children is a newly founded nonprofit organization that is dedicated to assisting disabled children gain their independence. Independence from disabilities caused by complications arising from premature birth and brain trauma leading to conditions like cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus. These conditions not only hinder their right to lead an independent life, they frequently lead the child into a battle of life or death. Each year thousands of children are born facing lifelong battles with disabilities, preventing them from doing the things that you and I take for granted in our everyday lives. Disabled children face endless challenges varying from simply learning to use a fork to feed them selves with to learning to sit, crawl and hopefully someday being able to walk without assistance. However, learning to do simple everyday things can take many years of special therapy and are not always covered by their families' insurance coverage's. Thus rendering the child's dreams out of the reach for them and their already financially burdened families. This is how you can make a difference.
